10:30 Arrive at Rosehill Heliport for a pre-flight champagne.
11:00 Time to board! Once airborne we track via the site of the 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney Harbour and the Northern Beaches. At Mona Vale we set course for Wollombi for a mid-day drink.
11:50 Touch down at Wollombi Tavern on the old stage-coach route. Sample some of the infamous “Dr. Jurd’s Jungle Juice” before relaxing with one of the best local wines or beers. This is a real Australian country pub in a town steeped in history.
12:50 Back in the air, our next leg takes us to the Pokolbin Vineyard Region in the heart of the Hunter Valley for a wine tasting and lunch.
13:10 Arrive at either the Hunter Resort Country Estate or Bimbadgen Winery set amongst picturesque Hunter Valley vineyards. Both establishments will provide you with a sumptuous lunch during which your food will be married to a selection of the Estate’s own fine wines, then sit back and relax in the sun-filled courtyard, take a winery tour, or visit the cellar door for a tasting. Great service, great food, great wine.
15:30 After lunch, we set off for the Macdonald/Hawkesbury River area to visit ‘The Settlers Arms Inn’, at St.Albans, which dates back to 1836.
16:00 Arrive St. Albans. A truly beautiful place to spend an afternoon hour, with old sandstone walls, wooden floors, low ceiling beams and most importantly, it has been the home of many a comfortable drinking session over the past 150 years.
17:00 Depart for Sydney, inland over the leafy Northern suburbs arriving by 1730 for return transfer to your hotel.
