Sydney Helicopters is proud to have been awarded the Federal contract to provide NSW with a heavy helicopter for aerial firefighting.

Each summer, the large Sikorsky Sky Crane Helicopter, along with her crew are based at Sydney Helicopters as support for the Wild Fire threat locally and State wide.

The Sikorsky is fitted with a large capacity multiple door belly tank which offers a range of options from single to multiple drops controlled through a microprocessor. The massive tank can be refilled by either a large suspended hose or a sea snorkel in as little as 40 seconds.
